Call for Artists: Rituals. Holding ourselves through life.Dates of residency: Mid-January - End of February ( 45 days)
Amount of residents: 2 people
Type of residency: Paid by artist (letter of attendance for funding search is provided)
We invite artists from all disciplines to apply for a residency exploring
rituals as forms of resilience, grounding, and emotional survival in contemporary life.
In a world shaped by uncertainty, acceleration, and constant change, we turn to small gestures—daily routines, quiet habits, symbolic actions—to stay centered. Rituals help us navigate complexity, cultivate presence, and care for our inner world. They can be spiritual or secular, ancient or newly invented, solitary or collective, visible or invisible. They may take place in a studio, in public space, on a screen, or in the private corners of our minds.
This residency embraces
rituals as artistic language and as lived practice.
We welcome projects that explore:
• Personal rituals for calm, resilience, and grounding
• Emotional and mental self-care practices
• Meditation, breath, movement, repetition
• Spiritual and ancestral traditions re-imagined
• Invented and experimental rituals
• Somatic and embodied practices
• Healing gestures in response to stress, uncertainty or fear
• Material rituals: making as devotion, touch as knowledge
• The rituals of daily life, studio routines, and creative process
• Digital rituals, screen-based habits, online presence and repetition
• Ritual as rebellion against burnout, pressure, and speed
We are looking for artists who see rituals not as escape, but as
creative tools for reflection, healing, transformation, and connection.
